Seniors Graduate

With the heavens raining tears, the Lady Raiders Class of 2006 graduated at ceremonies held at the Wilmington Shriners Auditorium. More than 2500 parents, family, friends, and classmates celebrated with the class.

The Class of 2006 graduated six seniors, Samantha Bell, Maura Coveney, Cara Lynch, Karen Sen, Paula Sen, and Ana Tocco. The 2003-2006 Melrose teams went 24-1, 20-3, 23-1, and 23-1 for a combined 90-6 record, with four Middlesex League titles, 2 Division II North titles, and three undefeated regular seasons. The Lady Raiders reached the postseason for the tenth consecutive season.

In a tremendous achievement for the program, all six seniors graduated with honors, with Paula Sen delivering the valedictory address, and Karen Sen at number two.

Cara Lynch selected Coach David Brady to present her diploma, and numerous student speakers recognized the achievements of the basketball team.

The team passes the mantle on to the 2007 team, captained by consensus All-Scholastic Sheylani Peddy and Middlesex league All-Star Lynley DeAmato.
