Zoned In
The Lady Raiders hoop camp continues amidst hard work and hard play. As always, the coaches have a hardworking group of girls looking to sharpen their skills. The only differences this year are location (Stoneham High School) and the enthusiastic attendance of some Stoneham youngsters.
Today some hotly contested matches in the Free Throw Contest and 'Hot Shots'. Back from the AAU Nationals in Kansas, Melrose's Colleen Hanscom took the honors in both. Hanscom and other standouts from the eighth grade class, touted as the best in Melrose's history, will look to make the jump to the varsity hardwood this season.
With not too much time left to go in camp, I'd expect some surprises remain for the campers, as the dedicated coaches look to leave them with future memories.
