Tradition

In Melrose we say that "Tradition never graduates." Alumni Night brought back over twenty former Lady Raiders to celebrate their pasts and the present.

Quiana Copeland stopped by having returned from England where she is playing professionally.

Oyin Aderibigbe was the center on the 2003 team that went 24-1 and went to the Fleet Center. Oyin is a senior at Harvard who stopped by for the gathering. Last we heard, "Owie" has her sights on medical school.

Former Coach and Melrose resident Dave Brady received a special 'trophy' from Boosters Club President Mark Pearson, a jersey autographed by current and former Lady Raider standouts. Brady left coaching after last season and handed the reins over to long-time assistant Rob Ferrante.

Cara Lynch puts her "John Hancock" on Brady's jersey, with onlookers including Shey Peddy. Cara attends Boston College.

Community support means everything. Melrose stands behind its girls and the girls appreciate the encouragement.
