Futures Game
Yes, the future is now for the Lady Raiders, but tonight the 7th graders square off in the Melrose Hoop version of the Texas Death Match. The ball gets tossed up at 6:45 in the Marcoux Gym.
The Middle School Travel team, coached by Ralph Labella hosts the YMCA team coached by Steve Kirwan. Both squads have a number of promising and talented players.
The Middle School team has an overall record of 28-7, including 9-4 in the uber-tough River Valley 'A' League.
Last year the Middle School team narrowly defeated the 'Y' at the YMCA band box in one of the most physical games I have seen in a long time.
