MIAA Pairings Out: Monday Night Against the Knights
The MIAA held its annual seeding (records and coin flips) conference and pairings are out.
The first round tourney game for the Lady Raiders happens Monday, Feb 25th @ 7PM at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Gymnasium. Melrose faces the North Andover Knights, whom Melrose narrowly defeated with a comeback in the 2003 playoffs on a final second layup by Amy Porcaro off an electrifying pass from Shannon Kirwan.
The winner of this game faces the winner of the Charlestown/Reading later in the week. The pairings setup a possible Melrose/Reading rubber game, which Melrose would host.
