Melrose-Reading Tuesday: Intensity
The Melrose-Reading rivalry has been an intense battle through the years, with Melrose winning nine consecutive Middlesex League titles, only to be displaced by Reading in 2009. Melrose had a protracted winning streak approaching 20 games, but the Rockets have won four of the past five, including both games last season.
The game promises to have intensity, and I've put together a few clips, mostly, but not exclusively from the second game of the 2005 season, where Melrose came in undefeated, and Reading came in at 15-3. It's not hard to see that there's no love lost between these two clubs.
