Hannah Brickley Receives Richard Phelps Scholar-Athlete Award
If Hannah Brickley wanted to stake a claim to the title of Melrose's premier female athlete, she'd have plenty of support. But she has others recognizing her excellence, most recently the Richard Phelps Scholar-Athlete Award from the Boston Globe.
The Trinity-bound recent MHS grad is one of only a handful of scholar-athletes across the Commonwealth so recognized.
In addition to her academic excellence, she received Division 2 Volleyball Player of the Year honors, and all-scholastic, and all-state recognition in volleyball. In basketball, she achieved all-scholastic recognition and just as in volleyball helped lead the Lady Raiders to a Division 2 North championship to become only the second Melrose team to achieve the double.
Highest regards and congratulations for a great honor.
